Zhang Enzhao stressed: to grasp the shareholding restructuring opportunity to improve core competitiveness and value creation ability.  

Recently when Zhang Enzhao, Chairman of the board of directors of China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB), made research in CCB Guangdong Branch and CCB Fujian Branch, he stressed that CCB shall grasp the shareholding restructuring opportunity to promote management mechanism reform towards CCB strategic development objective and change management philosophy and mechanism in a practical manner, so that CCB can make a further step to improve core competitiveness and value creation ability.

　　Zhang Enzhao pointed out, this year is a key year for CCB shareholding restructuring program. CCB will make efforts in changing administration system, improving governance structure, transferring management mechanism and enhancing operation performance across the whole bank. CCB will take the best management practices of international commercial banks as the objective to reform CCB’s management and operation in all aspects and lines of business.  CCB will strictly conduct the internal management and administration and promote the reform in a steady manner. First of all, CCB will follow the international financial trend and national macro control policies to find out the right direction and nail down correct measures and in this way, can avoid all risks produced by economic cycles. Secondly, CCB will slim down its management, process, mechanism and information, and strengthen its internal control to manage risks. In terms of training and examinations for staff, CCB will pay more attention to employee’s ethics in addition to their performance. Thirdly, CCB’s development strategy covers several major changes. The most important change is to improve the core competitive strength. And CCB will find out new opportunities in marketing and all lines of business that enjoy profit growth.
