Nearly 10,000 Grams of Gold Traded in 4 Days in the Personal Account Gold Dealing of CCB

China Construction Bank (CCB) launched the personal account gold dealing service on February 28, 2005. Up to March 3, 9962 grams of gold have been traded in 4 days and the traded volume amounts to RMB 1.15 million. With regard to the variety of gold, 9331 grams of AU9999 were traded, accounting for 93.6% of total dealing and 631 grams of AU9995 were traded, accounting for 6.4% of total dealing, which indicates that investors prefer the gold of high purity. Looking from the perspective of quoted price, the bid price of AU9999 was RMB 115.2 to 116.12 per gram and its offer price was RMB 116.2 to 117.12 per gram. The bid price of AU9995 was RMB 115 to 115.94 per gram and its offer price was RMB 116 to 116.94 per gram. The price of AU9999 saw greater fluctuation than that of AU 9995.
