Seven New Products of CCB are Demonstrated in Shanghai Exhibition
New CCB, New Products and New Life
CCB cardholders can use CCB cards throughout 300 countries and regions,
can finish account transfer and settlement in a minute just by clicking
the mouse, and can complete remittance, payment, purchase, securities
transaction, foreign exchange trade by dialing the cell phone. This
kind of new banking cards with high-tech content will be exhibited
in CeBIT Asia 2005 held in Shanghai from May 11 to 14.

to China Construction Bank, this logo is beyond its literal meaning.
China Construction Bank is committed to providing state-of-the-art
financial products for its customers in its efforts to become an
international modern commercial bank and taking this task as its
development objective and major means of improving its competitive
strength. And CCB has successively launched Long Credit Card (two
currencies), ¡®Happy Investor¡¯ wealth management card, online banking,
mobile phone banking and telephone banking one by one.
In this exhibition, CCB will demonstrate 7 new financial products
covering personal banking, corporate banking and foreign exchange
by means of special features, field consultation, gifts sending
and etc.
With the advance of CCB¡¯s shareholding reform, CCB pays more and
more attention to the balance development among all business lines.
And the personal banking enjoys increasing recognition. In 2004,
CCB introduced ¡®Product Strategy¡¯ for the personal banking business.
After the introduction of Product Strategy, CCB reorganized the
importance of the personal banking business. In April of 2004, CCB
became the first bank to offer the consumer password function for
its Long Credit Card (two currencies) within China. In June, CCB
again as the first bank launched the dual-currency business card
in line with international standards. In August, CCB began to offer
individual car owners the Long Automobile Card that is based on
the dual-currency credit card and provides car-related and value-added
services. This product received a favorable response from the market.
In October, CCB launched ¡®Happy Investor¡¯ wealth management card
that is a multiple functions debit card and integrates transaction
and value added services. This card is a wealth management tool
with multiple functions and customized for customers needs. This
service broke down the limit of bank cards with only one function.
This kind of card can offer 14 transactions and 10 value added services
for individuals and mainly has the following features: clients can
open multiple accounts by using only one card; can access personal
pledge-backed loans, foreign currency trading, treasury bonds service,
third party collection and payment by signing a client agreement;
can regularly receive bank statements; can be offered different
services by using platinum cards, gold cards and silver cards.
CCB provides a kind of ¡®modern life¡¯ for individuals that become
rich first in China. On January 28 of 2005, CCB Wealth Management
Center was opened and commenced operation in Shanghai, which signifies
that CCB has entered a new phase over individual wealth management
in terms of knowledge-based skill, value added service and expertise
in line with international standards. Wealth Management Center introduces
a dual-manager service model. That is to say, every customer of
the wealth management center is equipped with one wealth management
consultant and one account manager. Meanwhile, an expert team gathers
all specialists in insurance, foreign exchange, securities, fund,
real estate, law and other fields inside and outside CCB together
to offer a specialized service bolster. Services offered include
personal investment, individual bank, value added services, genial
services, information and consultation services, etc.
In modern society, individual life can not be isolated from electronic
technology. Thus, in the exhibition, CCB will demonstrate its online
banking and mobile phone banking that marry personal banking and
e-banking well. This service can offer all banking functions except
cash deposit and withdrawal. In comparison with traditional banking
services, e-banking and mobile phone banking can provide services
24 hours a day.
¡®This exhibition is a good opportunity for CCB to communicate with
the market and clients.¡¯ ¡®Lots of customers have known CCB¡¯s products
that will be demonstrated in the exhibition, but we cannot assure
they can use it easily. The goal for this demonstration is to make
more people know our products but also to make people know how to
use it.¡¯ A CCB manager said, it is consistent with the objective
that CCB is always committed to pursuing.
