The First University Dragon Card – Zhejiang University Dragon Card is Issued

The first University Dragon Card – Zhejiang University Dragon Card was grandly issued at the anniversary of the university on May 21. President Chang Zhenming of CCB and President Pan Yunhe of Zhejiang University attended the signing & card launch ceremony.

The University Dragon Card is a credit card launched jointly by CCB and famous Chinese universities on the basis of the bank’s Dragon Card (dual currency). As a financial product getting increasingly popular in recent years, credit card brings the power of technology into daily life and injects a new consumption idea into the minds of people. With credit card, the credit record of students will be able to be established. The joint launch of University Dragon Card by CCB and famous Chinese universities not only enables the students and faculty to enjoy the credit card services up to international standards but more importantly introduces the world popular idea of credit consumption into institutions of higher learning, which helps the university students to learn more financial knowledge and develop the wealth management ability and promotes the establishment of the student credit system. To issue the card to the alumni of universities will raise their sense of pride and recognition of their Alma Mater and help build the credit card brand among famous Chinese universities.

Zhejiang University is a key Chinese university with a long history. The Zhejiang University Dragon Card will be issued to its faculty, current students and alumni.

The Zhejiang University Dragon Card not only carries all the functions of the Dragon Debit Card such as consumption first and repayment later, dual currency and the maximum 50-day grace period but also offers special privileges to the university card-holders such as higher credit line under the same conditions, customer-tailored installment arrangement, the “student credit report” of graduates, etc. Since the Zhejiang University Dragon Card is also the affinity card, the card-holders can repay their Alma Mater by normal card consumption activity and donate to their Alma Mater by directly using the card, making the card a bridge through which the Zhejiang University alumni can contribute to the educational undertaking of the university.
