Launches DCC throughout the Bank
The introduction of DCC will improve
CCB¡¯s service quality, efficiency and availability throughout
the whole bank.
September 25¡ªwhen China Construction
Bank Corporation (CCB) Jilin Branch successful linked its counter
business system into CCB¡¯s headquarters data center at 2 o¡¯clock
P.M., the introduction of data center consolidation (DCC) was
finished after 3-year efforts.
DCC is an important base that can bolster
CCB¡¯s transformation of operation and management model, integrated
application of information resources, business innovation and
the improvement of administration capability. The completion of
DCC project throughout CCB will surely play a significant role
in CCB¡¯s development. It also indicates that the technology application
model in CCB has transformed from the dispersed one in the past
into a scientific, functional and integrated one also with implementation
solutions. This will absolutely further enhance CCB¡¯s development
in all business lines including customer services and risk management.
CCB President Chang Zhenming said,
in the final analysis, the development and expansion of commercial
banks in the future will depend on their competitiveness. In the
time when technology enjoys rapid growth, competitiveness of commercial
banks will be surely affected by human resource and capability
in risk management & return management, yet, the key factor
is the input of information technology. We can see that to meet
customers needs, to develop business, to administer human resources
and to manage risks can not be isolated from the support of technology,
and IT development will be absolutely enhance business exploration
ability, improve service quality, advance management level, and
promote the capability of risk management and control.
CCB initiated the DCC project in July
of 2002 and experienced the process of finishing this project
through nearly 3 years from the first launch at CCB Shanghai Branch
to the last introduction at CCB Jilin Branch. So far, CCB has
successfully completed this project throughout the whole bank
including headquarters and 38 branches at provincial levels.
The main advantages of introducing
the DCC project throughout CCB are as follows: this project integrates
accounting and the applied version in business over the counter
throughout the Bank when CCB expanding its businesses; standards
business and data criteria to support standardized management
in all lines of business and share basic customers information;
improves the monitoring capability of CCB headquarters over market
orders; bolsters the fast development of new products and the
introduction of products as well as services in a consolidated
manner; enhances the service quality in cross-region transactions
and settlement and speeds up cash management and treasury business
across all branches; and helps realize the consolidated operation
model in the back office. With the completion of DCC project,
CCB is confident that the Bank will offer better services in a
more efficient and convenient way.
Chairman of CCB Guo Shuqing expressed
his congratulations via a letter which said, the customer is God
and to offer better service is every employee¡¯s obligation. It
is a major task of CCB to provide quality service to customers
by using advanced technology. The introduction of DCC across all
branches signifies a new starting point for CCB in its IT application
level. And hope that CCB would continue its efforts in offering
better service to all clients and the society.
