Individual foreign exchange settlement is an exchange service in which the customer sells foreign cash or spot exchange to the bank and the bank pay the customer an equivalent value of RMB according to the current forex rate.

Individual foreign exchange purchasing is an exchange service in which the customer purchases foreign currencies from the bank in his/her owned RMB (i.e. customers’ purchasing of forex) and the bank sells to the customer an equivalent value of the foreign currency according to the current forex rate(i.e. bank’s sale of forex).

Target customers

Domestic customers: Chinese citizens holding any of the following documents - PRC Resident Identity Card, Military ID card, Armed Police ID card; household register (with ID number), or Temporary Resident Identity Card. Foreign customers: Foreign nationals (including stateless persons) holding foreign passports; Compatriots of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan holding Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents and Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan resident.

CCB handles individual exchange settlement and sales in currency types including USD, EUR, HKD, AUD, CAD, JPY, CHF, GBP, SGD, KRW, MOP, NZD, THB, HUF, etc.（subject to the actual cash availability at each branch）.
