To reciprocate the long-term trust and support of its customers, China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB) has reached agreement with related fund management companies in offering discounts in subscription fees for specified open-ended funds applied through CCB’s online bank. 1. Eligibility of Investors All lawful investors subscribing open-ended funds through CCB’s online banking channel. 2. Applicable Funds and Effective Date of Discount 2.1 Discount in subscription fees will apply beginning October 8th 2007 for online subscription of specified open-ended funds (as listed in the attached table). 2.2 For the time being, subscription discounts are not applicable to other open-ended funds distributed by CCB but not listed in the table. Discounts will only be offered after agreement with the corresponding fund management companies has been reached. 3. Discount Rates For subscription of specified open-ended funds make through CCB’s online bank, a 20% discount in subscription fee will apply. If, after discounting, the subscription fee is lower than 0.6%, then the subscription fee will be set as 0.6%; if the subscription fee is equal or lower than 0.6% according to the terms stipulated in the fund subscription agreement, the subscription fee will be as stipulated in the agreement and the discount will not be applicable. This discount is applicable only to the rates of the subscription fees for open-ended funds (of the front-loaded type) during regular subscription times. It will not apply to the subscription fees of back-loaded funds or open-ended funds during placement period, nor will it apply to charges for fixed amount installation subscriptions and fund swapping, etc. 4. Important Notes 4.1 For the fee rates of the funds, please refer to the relevant legal documents and the latest announcements from the different fund management companies. 4.2 CCB will continue to discuss with various fund management companies on adding new products for which this fee discount is applicable. Please take note of announcements made at the websites of CCB and the relevant fund management companies. 4.3 The right to interpret this announcement rests with CCB. 4.4 Investors are reminded to take note of all investment risks. 5.
