Corporate Notification Deposits
Corporate notification deposit is a type of large-amount deposit with higher yields than corporate demand deposit and more flexible withdrawal means than corporate term deposit. If your company or organization has a large amount of idle funds, such deposit account can not only bring you a higher interest income than demand deposit and but also meet your needs of withdrawal at any moment.
You need not to set a term for corporate notification deposit when you open such an account. When you wish to withdraw the deposits, you only need to notify the bank the amount and date of withdrawal one or seven days prior to withdrawal. The interest rate is set by the PBC, which is usually higher than that of corporate demand deposit and low than that of corporate term deposit. The interest will be paid according to the rate published on the date of withdrawal.
The minimum amount for corporate notification deposits is RMB 500,000. The depositor must deposit the funds as a lump sum. Our bank will issue your company or organization a CCB Corporate Notification Deposit Account Confirmation when you apply for this service. The Confirmation only serves to confirm that the depositor has opened an account; it may not be used as collateral.
The interest rate for demand deposits will be applied for corporate notification deposits under the following scenarios:
If you withdraw an amount of deposits without prior notification to the bank, the interest rate for demand deposits will be applied for the amount of deposits you withdraw from the corporate notification deposit account;
If the actual deposit duration is shorter than required, the interest rate for demand deposits will be applied for the amount of deposits you withdraw from the corporate notification deposit account;
If you withdraw an amount of deposits prior to or after the notified date, the interest rate for demand deposits will be applied for the amount of deposits you withdraw from the corporate notification deposit account;
If you withdraw an amount of deposits less than the minimum of RMB 100,000, the interest rate for demand deposits will be applied for the amount of deposits you withdraw from the corporate notification deposit account;
If you have completed the notification procedures but you cancel the notification, the interest will not be counted for the amount of deposits you notify.
If you wish to open a corporate notification deposit account, you need to submit the following documents: the operation permit issued by the local industrial and commercial administration or a letter from its parent organization, and a copy of the seal. The seal may be the organization’s special seal for finance, the legal representative’s seal (or the authorized agent’s seal) or the financial manager’s seal.
